Kutch Work blouse - completed

Hi all

Hope all are doing well and good.

Today I am happy to share with you the completed blouse.  This is the second finish for this year.  I have used kutchwork, aari work and a surface embroidery stitch for this project.

The cream colour outline is chain stitch that is done using aari method.  Single strand of silk thread is used for doing the chain stitch.

Inside the aari chain stitch is kutwork.  It has been done using two strands of Anchor embroidery threads.  The motif outer the neckline is a leaf with herringbone stitch bordered with chain stitch and  a small basic kutch motif  placed like a flower within two leaves.

The basic working of kutchwork is shown in the following video.

The fabric used is silk cotton fabric.  This is before adding the embellishments.  It looks a bit plain.

After adding stones as embellishment, it looks like that the blouse has got a new life.

Border for sleeves.

Hope all of u like it.  Kindly drop in your comments.

  1. VERY nice! Will you make the blouse yourself or ask a tailor/dressmaker?
