Kutch Work design 2

 Hi all,

Today I am here to share with you another simple design to practice a kutch work motif.  It is formed using continuous diamonds which takes the shape of a cross.  It is also known as maltese cross.  In between the kutch motif I have added algerian eyelet stitch which can be done in straight stitches.   Have a look at the design.

The outer two lines are done using running stitch.

I will come up with a tutorial to work this kutch work motif in my coming posts.  For basic kutch work tutorials refer the links given below.

Hope all of you like this pattern.  I will be working on a kurti neck design using this pattern.  Will share it with when it is done.  Till then, have a happy time with needle and thread.

Plastic canvas Pen holder

This is pen holder done using Plastic canvas mat.  I have done Algerian Eye stitch.  U can beautify this by adding beads in the center of each stitch.

Plastic canvas photo frame

This is a photo frame made using plastic canvas.  I have used Algerian eye stitch around and made French knots in the center.  Have a look.

Again this is uploaded in the opposite direction.  What can I do to make the image in the right direction?  Can any one help?

Happy if u take time to comment on this.

Algerian eye stitch

This is a cover for my Laptop which I have made using Algerian Eye stitch.  The red color around is
Algerian Eye stitch and green color in between is double cross stitch.  For the edging I have worked a line of chain stitch around and done single crochet around that chain.  Then  I have done v-st in crochet in alternate single crochets.(v-st = double crochet(dc), chain1, dc in same stitch).

This is the closeup of the edging and algerian eye stitch.

All the photos have been uploaded in the opposite direction.  so please bear with me.

Happy Embroidering and crocheting.
