Buttonhole Bar stitch tutorial

 Hi all

Today I am happy to share with you the stitch tutorial for "buttonhole bar".

Let's move on to the tutorial

1)  First make 2-3 straight stitches as a foundation for this stitch.  I have made 3 here and the stitches are 2 cm long.

2)  Bring the needle up at one end and without picking the fabric pass the needle below the foundation stitches and make a blanket stitch.  We can make blanket stitches above/below.

3)One blanket stitch is made.

4) Continue doing blanket stitches till you cover the foundation stitches. The picture below shows the stitch halfway through.

5)  Anchor the last stitch at the end of the foundation stitches.

6)  Buttonhole bar stitch is made.  It looks like cast on stitch.  Here I have made 3 buttonhole bar stitches.

You can view the video tutorial here.

Hope you find this tutorial useful.

Have great day.  Happy embroidering.
