Crochet doily and a runner

Hi all

This is a quick post to show you a crochet doily and a runner which I have made recently.

Doily name : Pineapple and Bells doily
Thread: Anchor mercer crochet thread no 20(Art 4054)
Hook : 1.5mm
The pattern is available in Ravelry.

This runner I have made out of different 12 inch squares available in the net. Then joined it using slip stitch and made the border using the Wavy shell stitch border.  Search for that stitch in YouTube. You will find it there.

I have some more squares to be joined which I have done as a part of crochet cal before. Probably I will make them into cushion covers.  I have been a bit low and crafty side is moving on very very slowly. Not able to complete projects as expected. Blogging mojo has totally come  down and somehow tried to bring it up and that’s why this post. Hopefully everything will be ok in the coming days and I will be back to normal with my blog posts.

Till then happy crocheting.

Kutch work design 1

Hi all,

Today I am happy to  share with a new design which I have drawn to practice the kutch work basic diamond and continuous diamonds.  Along with that some basic stitches like algerian eye stitch , running stitch, back stitch, chain stitch and straight stitches are also used.

The outer and the inner green line is done using back stitch.
The center blue line is done using running stitch.
Corner petals are outlined with chain stitch and filled with straight stitches.
Inside zig zag lines are done with double running stitch.
Other stitches u can understand from the picture itself.

Pattern for this design

Catherine wheel purse

Hi friends,

Happy to share with you my new crocheted purse.  Crocheted last year but finished it with lining and button only this week.  Also, Added some beads in the flap.  I have made this to match with a saree of blue and pink color.

Used the catherine wheel crochet stitch.  4ply acrylic yarn and a 4mm hook.  In the scalloped edges I have added slip stitch.  Added clip button instead of zip.  Hand stitched the lining which gives more neater look than machine stitching in crochet items. That's my opinion.

Hope all of you like it.  Two more crochet works have been finished.  I will show it in my coming posts.  In my next post I will come up with a kutch work design.  Till then,  Happy crocheting and have a nice day.
