Simple Kantha embroidery border design

Hope all are doing well and good.  Today I am happy to share with you a simple border design.  It uses kantha embroidery stitches and it is apt for beginners.  Do give a try and share your feedback.

I am using 3 strands of thread throughout this design.

Simple Hand embroidery design

Hope all are doing well and good.  Yesterday I have shared the tutorial for doing the pueblo stitch.  Today I am happy to share with you a simple embroidery design.  Come let us have a look at the design.

It is a simple floral design.  You can use this design horizontally for borders.  For the time being I have drawn the pattern as a single motif.  I am in the process of converting this to a neck design.  Will post the design once it is completed.

Stitches Used

Stem - Pueblo Stitch

(2 shades of brown with 3 strands each.  

Kept the dark shade on top while doing the pueblo stitch)

Flower petals - Stem stitch(3 strands)

Daisy flowers embroidery Design

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well and good.  In my last post I have shown how to embroider a lazy daisy flower in two colours.  Here I am sharing a design that can be used for dresses, cushion covers etc.  I have expanded the same design to form a medium size design.

Centre of flowers - French knots

Leaves - Straight stitches 

Small buds - Granitos stitch

Anchor thread numbers

Flowers - 6857 (3 strands) for tip & 50 for petals ( 3 strands)

French knots - 6857( 6 strands, 2 wraps)

Small buds - 6857 (6 strands, 2 stitches)

Stems and leaves - 256(4 strands)
