Kutch work motif for sarees, kurtis & cushion covers

Pattern for the design

I have drawn this pattern in a 8 lines per inch graph paper and then transferred it to the fabric using carbon paper.  For this size I have used 6 strands of embroidery thread throughout the design.  This motif can be used as a border is placed repetitively or it can be used as a big Butta all over the saree.  Also this can be used as a motif for the cushion covers.

Hope all are doing well and good.  Today I am happy to share with an easy kutch work motif that can be used for sarees and kurtis.  It makes a simple and neat centre design for cushion covers also.

Kutch work round design for beginners

 Hi all

Today I am here to share with you a simple design in kutch work.  This design is suitable for beginners.  This design can be used as an overall motif for sarees, kurtis, bedspreads etc.  Also it can be used as a centre motif for coasters.

The leaf part is embroidered using single feather stitch, the Scrolls using chain stitch.  3 strands of thread is used throughout.

Kutch embroidery motif for sarees

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well and good. Today I am happy to share with you an easy Kutch embroidery motif that can be used as an overall motif for your sarees or as a single motif for your Kurtis. 

I have used two colours for this design for a change a dark and light shade of purple. And I have used 3 strands of thread throughout the design.  Video tutorial is available below.  


You can draw this pattern in a 8 lines per inch graph paper and trace the design onto the fabric using tracing paper.

Kutch work design for cushion covers

 Hi all

Today I am happy to share with you a simple cushion cover design in Kutch work.  This is a circular pattern and works well for Kurtis also.  This pattern has four simple Kutch work motifs with a whipped running stitch circle.
