Learn Mini Round Bargello stitch - Needlepoint stitch #5

Hope all are doing well and good.  Today I am very happy to share with you an interesting needlepoint stitch called the Mini Round Bargello stitch.

Mini Round Bargello stitch is a beautiful needlepoint embroidery technique that creates eye-catching geometric patterns using straight stitches. For this sample, I used 15 ct Aida fabric and 4-ply acrylic yarn to achieve maximum fabric coverage and a rich, textured finish. Classic Leaves stitch - Needlepoint stitch 2, Colour sample 2

Hope all are doing well and good.  Today I am happy to share with you another needlepoint stitch called "classic Leaves".  

I have done this in 14 ct Aida fabric.  I have selected three shades of green - 211, 267, 264 of anchor embroidery thread.  All the 6 strands of thread have been used.  Let me show the emnroidered piece now.

Bargello stitch - Needlepoint stitch 1, Colour sample 1

Hope all are doing good.   Today I am happy to share with you a small embroidery piece that I wish to do some time back.  Needlepoint embroidery pieces always fascinates me.  I have done some embroidery purses using needlepoint techniques.  I have done it in tapestry canvas.  

This sample I have done it in 14 ct aida fabric.  I have developed this piece as a colour sampler too.  Whenever I start an embridery  I always get confused choosing the colours. So thought of preparing a colour sample along with a needlepoint stitch.  This is the first stitch which is known as bargello stitch.  There are so many patterns using this bargello stitch technique and this is the simplest one.

This is the pattern which I have used.   

This pattern can be used for purses, cushion covers etc.  I have used 6 strands for 14 ct aida.  If you are using tapestry canvas 4 strands is enough.  I will cover the canvas.

Needlepoint WIP's and I need your suggestions

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well.  I have been exploring different forms of embroidery though I love to do surface embroidery.  Needlepoint is one such embroidery I like to know more.  Already I have done some needlepoint projects.

All those projects I have done on tapestry canvas.  Needlepoint embroidery stitches are done by counting the holes in the canvas and therefore can be done in any even weave fabric.  So  I have tried some sampler stitches in aida fabric.  My idea is to fill the whole fabric with needlepoint stitches and this is what I have completed till now.  

Randomly I have filled the areas with the stitches.  I will give the name of the stitches in the completed piece.  

Next is a project which I have started done using quilt blocks from here.  Those blocks include half square triangles. Totally there are 72 blocks.  I have worked the first 20 blocks in black and white fabric for a quilt.  Those 20 blocks are enough for a quilt.  So I decided to work the remaining blocks in aida using the the block pattern as guide and I have complete 9 more blocks from that list.  I try to complete one block everyday. 

I should complete these two pieces within this year.  

Now I need your suggestions.  I have a grey colour mulberry silk fabric.   I thought of doing kutch work in that, but I am confused in selecting the colour for thread work.  I have placed four colour threads.  Kindly suggest which colour thread will match the grey colour the most.  It will be helpful for me to proceed with my embroidery.
