Barette clips with crochet flowers

Crochet Frock, Sling Bag, Hair clips

 Hi all

Happy New Year to all.  

Last year was a productive year on the crafty side.  Made a lot of things, Started my you tube channel, learned so many new things and started selling my handmade items through insta.  After starting that page I have got my first custom order to make a crochet frock for a 3 year old for her birthday.  I am so happy on receiving that order.  The customer chose a design from the photographs I send and the tricky part is I have to make the frock according to the measurements send by them.  That was not in my comfort zone.  But I don't want to leave that order.  So took courage and said a yes to them and I have to finish it within 15 days.  

Placed the order for the yarn and it took 9 days to arrive.  I started crocheting the frock when there is 6 days left.  Managed to shape the neck according to the measurements.  And the frock started to grow and this was the final result.  I have completed the frock within 3 days.

They have asked me a matching bag and hair clips.  So I made a small sling bag that goes with the bag and a matching hair clip with a simple flower.

I have used 3.5mm crochet hook.

Now I am more confident in crocheting frocks and this year I have planned to design crochet frocks and skirts.  More than crocheting, designing takes time.  If we have the pattern in hand we can crochet anything in a jiffy.  So that's all for today.  Tomorrow I will come up with a simple embroidery border.  Till then have a nice day and happy crocheting

Crochet Bow - Hair clips and hair ties

Hope all are staying safe and doing good.  Crocheting small things brings instant satisfaction.  One such thing recently I have crocheted is bows.  Then I have attached bows to hair clips and hair ties and they are cute than before.  I love them.  Then I made these set for my amazon shop.

Pattern for making the bow

In magic ring

(ch 2, 6 tr, dc), sl st, (ch 2, 6 tr, dc) sl st.

Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Close the magic ring.

Now roll the tail thread in the middle of the bow(4-5 round) and secure the tail.  

Fix a half pearl in the centre and you are done.

Crochet hair clips and hair ties with pattern

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well and staying safe.   After marriage I started to crochet in my free time.  I used to crochet table cloths and hotpads.  Then got introduced to mandalas and doilies.  At one point of time I was crocheting blankets and then cushions.   You can view all my crochet creations here.   All these projects took a lot of time and then I came to know about crochet flowers.  They can be crocheted within minutes and gives instant satisfaction. Then I came across so many images of hair clips, hair ties and headbands with crochet flowers.  From that time onwards I am longing to do hair accessories.  But what will I do with them.   I have two boys and I will not be able to use them.  

Now the time has come to crochet such accessories for my amazon store.  And I started doing so many flowers.  You can view my crochet headband with hair clip and hair tie here.

As a second project in hair accessories I crocheted flowers using Anchor knitting cotton .  Added a half bead in the centre and glued the flower to the tik tok hair clips.  For the hair ties I sewed the flowers to the hair tie.  I made 5 pairs of clips and a matching hair tie as a mother daughter combo.

In magic ring 

(ch3, 3 tc's, ch 3, sl st)  5 times.  Fasten off.

Mom n daughter combo hair accessories

 Hi all 

Hope all are staying safe and doing good.  Today I am very happy to introduce my own mom n daughter combo crochet hair accessories.  From the day I start to crochet I always try to crochet something for kids.  One of my dream is  to crochet a hair wreath.  And it came true yesterday.  

I am presenting to you my handmade hair wreath or headband.

Then a second thought came, why can't we do it as a Mom n Daughter combo and the following two accesories came into existence.  A hair band for mom and hair clips for daughter.
