Embroidery Neck Design using Holbein Stitch

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well and good.  Today I am happy to share with you a neck design that I have designed for my kurti.  This is a very simple but elegant design that uses holbein stitch to embroider it. If you are new to embroidery and if you like geometrical designs you will surely love this design.

The fabric I have used is silk cotton fabric.  I have used anchor embroidery thread numbers 1089 & 293.  I have used three strands of thread throughout the design.

Let me show the neck design.

Easy Neck Design for beginners

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well.   Today I am happy to present a embroidery neck design for beginners.  In my last post I have posted a tutorial for embroidering a mirror.  I have incorporated that mirror work in this design.  You can view the tutorial for mirror work here.

I started with embroider three sequins inside a heart shape.  Then added sugar beads of golden and light green glass beads around the heart border and inside also.

Then added a line of chain stitch on neckline.  And added golden sugar bead inside each chain stitch.

Then added green colour stone chain along the chain stitch on both sides,  This forms a thick patch like neckline.

This design can be easily worked by beginners also.  I have provided a video of the process of making this neckline.  Watch it here.

Embroidery Kurti Neck Design

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well.  Yesterday I was not able to put this post.  So today I am happy to share with you a simple neck design that uses herringbone design.  I have altered the design used to explain the herringbone stitch.

One close up
------------------

Only with thread work the design looks plain.  So I have added some cut beads and sugar beads as an embellishment.

Anchor thread numbers 13 and 257 are used.  3 strands of threads are used throughout.  Herringbone stitch is used and for neckline stem stitch is used.

Pattern for the design
------------------------------------

Here I have given the half side of the design since it is a symmetrical design.  You can print the design in A4 size paper.  You can see the following link for tracing the design onto the fabric.

Hope all of you like this design.  Tomorrow I will be back with another embroidery design with a weaving flower.

Have a nice day.

Embroidered yoke

 Hi all

Hope all are enjoying the weekend and getting ready to celebrate Easter. For those who are celebrating Happy Easter to you.

Today I am happy to share with you the embroidered yoke which I have finished. It is embroidered using the simple running stitch and lazy daisy stitch. Have a look.

This time I have done the embroidery so that it covers the whole yoke part. It is a cotton silk fabric.

This is the close up of the design. I have used anchor thread no. 303 with 3 strands of thread.  Attached a golden colour bead in the centre of the lazy daisy stitch.  Finally one more photo for you to see.

Hope all of you like it.  Let me know the feedbacks in the comments section.  I will be back with another embroidery design.  Till then, have a nice time.

Embroidery pattern 4 - French knots neck design

Hi friends

Today I am here to share the free pattern for this month.  It is an expansion the last months free pattern.  I have expanded it to a neck design for a kurti.  A simple one but  looks elegant.  So on to the design now.

One more thing.  If you are working the french knots for the neckline, make sure that u leave enough space for stitching.  I have stitched it too close to the neck where the fabric is being cut for stitching.  At the time of stitching it becomes big trouble and the french knots were all collapsed.  Then I removed all the french knots and embroidered the neck line with the herringbone stitch.  I will  update this post with the stitched kurti once it is done.

Now the pattern
--------------------------

Stitches used
-------------------------
Round flowers - French knots (6 strands ) - I wind the thread one time over the needle
Leaves - Leaf stitch - 3 strands
Stem - Stem stitch - 3 strands
For the neck line french knots of pink and blue stitch alternatively.

Threads Used  - Anchor
------------------------
For flowers - 63 (Pink)
Stem and Leaves - 150 (blue)

For the next months free pattern I am working on a kantha embroidery border pattern.  So do watch my space.
