Zentangle Colouring Page - Line Dance

Hi all 

Hope all are staying safe. In the Zentangle colouring page series I have drawn a simple page out of the zentangle pattern - Line Dance.  I have learned this pattern from a pinterest post.  It is very easy to do and relaxing.  You can view my previous drawings and zentangle patterns here.

I have learned the pattern from here.   This is my page after colouring.  I have used Maped Felt tip pen sets to colour it.

Zentangle Colouring Page - Spiral Rose

Hope all are staying safe and doing well.  It's been a month I posted a colouring page.  I am drawing zentangle patterns and out of it creating a colouring page.  You can view my previous drawings and zentangle patterns here.

Today I am happy to share with you the zentangle pattern - Spiral rose.  It is very easy to draw.  I am not going to share the tutorial.  Instead I am providing the link from which I have learned to draw it.   You can click here to learn how to draw the pattern.

Zentangle Pattern - Backsplash flower

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well.  Flowers always attract me.  Whenever I choose design for doing embroidery or some design most of the time I will end up with a flower pattern.  Today is the last post in zentangle frame with verse series which I have done already.  I will try to put up regular posts in zentangle atleast once in two weeks.  

Now on to today's pattern.  It is called backsplash flower.  I have done with a little variation in it.  

Drawn using black gel pens and used Maped colour pencils.

Zentangle X-Junction -- How to draw

Hi all

Hope all are enjoying your weekend.  Hope all of you like the zentangle pattern X-junction which I have posted yesterday.  Today I am happy to share with you the tutorial for drawing it. Also I have created a colouring page for that pattern and coloured that page for relaxing myself.  Here it is,

I have used the following colours to colour the page.  I have used ADD gel Little Artist twin tip pens to colour this page.  I have purchased it from here.

Now let's move onto the steps to draw X-junction. It is easily understood from the following pictures. Divide a space into four quadrants by drawing an 'X'.  Then draw a tear drop in all the four quadrants and add a circle on all the corners of 'X'. That's it.

Instead of tear drops you can also use other variations like below.  It's upto your creativity. 

Below is the colouring page which I have created in the powerpoint software. You can save it as a jpg file and print it out for colouring.

Zentangle Pattern -->X-Junction

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well and having a great day. Today I am happy to share with you another zentangle frame with a verse.   The name of the pattern is X-Junction. Very easy and to draw.  I am sharing the frame with the verse now. 

I have used black gel pens to draw the pattern and Maped colour pencils to colour it.  I will post the tutorial tomorrow along with the colouring page.  I have one more pattern in this series.

Zentangle BLISS - How to draw

 Hi all

Hope all are doing well.  Yesterday  I have posted a verse with a frame using zentangle pattern -  BLISS.  Today I am happy to share with you the tutorial for drawing the pattern.  

Before that I have created a colouring page using the pattern.  You can save the picture as .jpg in your system and can use it for colouring. 

Now onto the tutorial

The steps are easily understood from the picture.  So I am not giving any explanations here.  Be imaginative and add colourings according to your wish.  

That's all for today.  Download the colouring page and colour it and relax your weekend.

Zentangle Pattern - BLISS

Hope all are doing well and great.  Today I am happy to share with you the next Zentangle pattern called "BLISS".  It is very easy to draw.  I have drawn this pattern as a border for the verse. Here it is.

For this pattern I have used black gel pen only and coloured it with colour pencils.  You can draw the pattern in different sizes.  To fill in the blank area I have added some other details like tiny hearts, semi circles, filled circles etc.  You can add as per your wish.  

Tomorrow I will be posting the tutorial for drawing this pattern and I will add a coloring page as well.  Hope all of you like it.

Zentangle MOOK-ish - How to draw

 Hi all

Hope all of you like the drawing of the zentange pattern Mook-ish.  Today I am happy to share with you the tutorial for drawing that pattern.  It is very simple.  Come let's draw it.

This is the colouring page I have created with this pattern.  You can download it and can enjoy colouring to have a relaxed time.  You can add small patterns inside and make it more colourful.

WIRLZ

SNOW FLOWER

Assume that you are drawing within a square of 2cm x 2cm.  Find the centre of the square and mark a point and all the steps will be drawn from the centre only.

From the centre draw two slightly curves lines towards one end. 

 

Again from the centre drawn the pattern like this on the other three sides.

From the centre draw a curved line towards the corner that bends at the edge.  It should touch the line that has been drawn first.

Then again from the centre draw a curved line parallel to the previous and end at the curved edge. 

Now we are going to make the mirror image of steps 3 and 4.  From the centre draw a curved line with a bended edge but smaller than the ones in the previous steps.  It should touch lines in step 1 and 2, and finished below the bended edge.  It will be understood by the following figure.

Again from the centre draw a curved line towards the bended edge.

The pattern is now complete.  You can give shadings now.  I am not good in giving shadings to the pictures with pencils, so I have drawn some rays from the centre.

Hope all are doing well.  Thanks you for your response and feedbacks for the previous post of kasuti embroidery motif.  Today I am happy to share with you the next pattern in zentangle - Mook-sih.  The name sound funny to me.😊😊. But it is simple to draw.  Today I am showing you the frame which I have drawn with that pattern.

I have added the pattern in two sizes in this frame.  Then some other details are also added.  For this also I have used black gel pen and colour pencils.  

The tutorial for drawing the pattern will be posted tomorrow.  Along with that a colouring page will also be added.  Soon, I will create a page to download all the colouring pages in one page.

Zentangle - WIRLZ

Hope all doing well.  Thanks you for your response in my previous post french knot design and its tutorial.  Hope all of you like it.  

Today I am very happy to share with your new series on Zentangle. I came to know about the zentangle art in the year 2015.  For those who are not good at drawing or painting, zentangle is a gift which consists of geometric designs, lines, curves, circles which forms a beautiful piece of drawing.  There are a numerous patterns in zentangle and I have tried my hands in some patterns and created some pieces out of zentangle.  You can view all those works here.

Last Year I have tried to make a border design with zentangle patterns with the bible verses inside.  It is very relaxing to do.  After drawing the patterns playing with color pencils is another mind relaxing process.  It takes me back to my school days where I use only 12 colors.  And now I have a color pencil pack with 48 colors and it is like a toy for me.  Whenever I feel bored I used to pick up that pack and created these borders and I have come up with 6 designs.  

Today I am going to show you the first design.  

The name of the pattern is WIRLZ.  I will be framing this later.  I have used green, orange, yellow and purple colour pencils to colour it.  To draw this pattern I have used ordinary black gel pen.  But nowadays I am using micron pens to draw zentangle patterns.  

 And the tutorial for creating this pattern will be posted tomorrow.  I have created a coloring page for this pattern without the verse.  So do watch my space.  Till then, Happy zentangling.
